Delight for the club as Flanker Charlotte Trail nominated for Sky Sports Living For Sport Teacher Of The Year

Halifax Ladies Flanker and Maths Teacher, Charlotte Trail, has been nominated for major award for her work setting up a Girls Rugby Team at King James' School Almondbury.

Charlotte first began playing rugby league in Yr10 whilst still at school, first playing for Meltham All Blacks and then Huddersfield Ladies. Once at Edge Hill University she switched codes playing for both the University Team and for Ormskirk before joining Halifax for the 15/16 season.

With the help of the Living For Sport programme, Charlotte has set up and grown the Girls Rugby Team at King James' which now boasts a Yr7 team with 14 players and a Yr9/10 team with 13 players.

We'll be keeping our fingers crossed!
