With a team packed with new and developing players, Halifax Ladies attended the inaugural Yorkshire Women's Development Festival.
With the aim of giving new players the chance to play competitive rugby in a friendly, welcoming environment, teams from across Yorkshire pitted their skills against each other in a 10's format.
Aided by a couple of more experienced team mates, the Ladies showed their worth by coming away with a win in most of their matches. Great performances were put in by all with Cat Horner and Ollie Black jointly walking away with the Team Development Player Of The Festival.
The Ladies plan to train throughout most of the summer and have further friendlies planned in order to keep up a momentum that has been building since their appearance on RugbyNats earlier this January. With a large group of players completely new to rugby having joined this year there has never been a better time to give rugby a go.
The Ladies are holding a Women's Rugby Taster Session on the 14th May at 11am, all are welcome to come and see what Women's Rugby is all about. No previous experience required.
