Halifax RUFC confirm squad to face Knaresborough

4 months ago By Tony Curtis

Halifax to make the trip to Knaresborough for second game of the new season.

Halifax RUFC will look to build on their promising start to the new Yorkshire Four (NW) season when they make the trip to Knaresborough.

Halifax opened up their campaign with a 48-0 win over Thirsk at Ovenden Park to help ease some of the pain of last season’s relegation.

But while Halifax were running in eight tries, Knaresborough were left kicking their heels after their scheduled opponents, Garforth, decided to pull out the league.

Halifax have won their last five games against Knaresborough, although the Manse Lane side have recruited well and will undoubtedly cause the visitors a number of problems – particularly on their home paddock.

Glen Warne and Chris Dennison both miss the clash, however talented youngster James McKibbin comes in on the wing while Stephen Jones is promoted from the bench to the second row.

Luke Dyson is rewarded for an impressive display for the Dukes against Huddersfield with a place on the bench.
