Halifax RUFC president Tim Greenwood has never been shy of an opinion or two - and he certainly ruffled a few feathers at the end of last season.
Greenwood left Halifax's final game of the disastrous 2016/17 campaign early in disgust as the 1st XV were humbled by Wensleydale.
Halifax, who were relegated from Yorkshire Three, went on to lose the game 84-7 and Greenwood took to social media to vent his frustrations and anger, criticising the attitudes of some.
However having come along to the preseason session at Ovenden Park on Thursday night, where both the men and ladies saw bumper numbers, Greenwood was full of praise.
"Following on from my hissy fit and depression on Facebook at the end of last season, I was at the club tonight and witnessed nearly 30 men and 18 ladies training," said Greenwood.
"It was an incredible turnout and it has given me new hope and impetus for the forthcoming season.
"The ladies and the men were also training really hard, which goes to show that coaching staff for both are really making a difference already. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant best wishes to all coaches and players."
